Today is January 20, 2009 – not just any day, but a day for the history books. A day that will forever be remembered in this country. I feel so incredibly lucky to be a part of this day and to bear witness to these events. I feel pretty emotional about the whole thing – [...]

We decided to host a last minute election night party on the 4th. I have been so fired up during this whole election, that I thought a party would be an appropriate culmination of all activities. We were sure to include a disclosure on the invite stating that this party would be very partisan. It [...]

Today is a historic day all across the country for obvious reasons. It’s also a historic day for our family because Erick voted for the first time EVER! He never voted in Puerto Rico and hasn’t voted in Virginia since he’s been here.
I think that speaks to what an amazing candidate Barack Obama is and [...]

I was lucky to be able to attend a Change We Need rally today with Barack Obama and over 8,000 other Virginians. It was such an amazing experience and one I felt would be the opportunity of a lifetime. These are exciting times being in the swing part of a swing state, which is bringing lots of media [...]

The new Obama campaign office is almost open in Salem. It’s so exciting and so convenient for me since it’s a block from work. It was nice to meet some other volunteers in this area and we are all so pumped for tomorrow to see Barack himself.
The campaign push is now “Get Out the Vote” [...]

I support Barack Obama for President because:
His character/background
His ability to inspire – I have never been as hopeful about our country than I am today and never have I been as passionate about politics. I wonder if this is how my parents felt about Kennedy? Obama has an uncanny ability to inspire people and get [...]

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, so I would encourage everyone to take their decision in the upcoming presidential election very seriously this year and make an informed decision.
It’s no secret that I’m an Obama supporter, and I feel comfortable saying that to anyone because I have reasons to back up my opinion and have [...]
