Offense, Defense and Special Teams = ACC Championship!

What an amazing game! GOBBLE, GOBBLE!!!!!!! Back to back ACC championships – pretty sweet. And, an amazing accomplishment for this young team. Obviously, they’re talented, but they scratched and clawed their way to the top. Very physical, very hardworking, scrappy bunch! Yay team!

Highlights:
- Beating Boston College when it counts!

Oh…the East Carolina game…

Well, you can’t win them all.  It was pretty disappointing and I’ll just leave it at that.
Even though we lost, here were some highlights:

Seeing the Lunch Pail VW van on interstate on the way to the game.  Very cool!

Hanging out with our friends Lisa and Scott and meeting some other 99 grads
The blocked [...]

Virginia Tech Football Clinic

I went to Frank Beamer’s Women’s Football Clinic on Saturday with my mom and some friends.  My friend, Cindy, had been before and had raved about it.  So, we decided to go and were not disappointed.

The coaches and players were all super cool, when considering that they were being bombarded by requests from 500 women.  [...]

End of football season

Orange Bowl…ugh! Not much to say. We did a crappy job.
Flowers is leaving for the NFL. I’m not sure what kind of team we’re going to have next year.
But, in better news, I came in 11th out of 54 for a college bowl game pool at work. Not bad. At [...]

Hurricanes are more like a passing shower in Lane

The state of Virginia asserts itself firmly as the dominating football power this season, after VT takes down FSU and Miami and after UVa crushed Miami. Next week’s match-up should be interesting. Go Hokies!

Hokies bring down FSU

Last night’s game rocked! It was total euphoria during the 4th quarter at Lane Stadium.

My favorites:

Tyrod’s 3rd and 31 38 yard run in the 2nd quarter (Immediately, we were saying that’s Pontiac’s game changing performance if we ever saw it)
All of Lane doing the chop and yelling
Danny & Cameron’s “Happy Birthday” [...]

Florida State gives us props

I checked out FSU’s sports site today and read their two latest articles:

Cool Weather Greets FSU As Team Prepares For Trip To Blacksburg
FSU Begins Preparations For First ACC Trip To Blacksburg

Very classy. They were pretty complimentary of our team and our fans. Based on the quotes, it seems like they think [...]

Jerseygate

Virginia Tech manhandled Georgia Tech last night with Sean Glennon at the helm wearing a 3 year old, tattered GT jersey. Some wiseass in Atlanta has got to feel like a complete tool right now!
